If you love notches, especially those of the seemingly unnecessarily big kind, the Pixel 3 XL is the phone for you. Its super deep notch has been the talk of the phone world since the first leak this summer, and as other manufacturers release phones with notches far less gargantuan, the dislike for the deep notch has grown "larger".
Now, it appears that the Pixel 3 XL is happily willing to give you even more goliath-esque notches.
A software glitch appears to be causing Pixel 3 XL's to spontaneously grow another notch along the right side of the display. The issue has been popping up on many of the review units that were sent out, and it does appear that Google is aware of the issue. According to Android Police, a fix is coming per a Google spokesperson.
It does seem that simply restarting the device will get rid of the side notch, but it has not been confirmed what is causing the issue to arise in the first place; that could mean your Pixel 3 XL could regrow the second notch an indefinite amount of times until the software is patched.
So, if you love your Pixel 3 XL's massive notch so much that you have wished for more, you are in luck. It may just spontaneously grow a second notch in front of your eyes.
