Dynamic Island was original...for a month

Impersonation is the sincerest form of flattery right? That must be what dynamicSpot is thinking. Listen, no one saw Dynamic Island coming, and that is a good thing. It was nice to see Apple introduce something fresh and new...something that hadn't been on Android for years. While Dynamic Island itself still feels like it is far from being perfected, it lays a great foundation for developers to build off of.

Android has done everything possible to eliminate the hole-punch in the display, but they aren't there yet. Apple embraced it with software unlike anyone out there. The new app dynamicSpot tries to bring that love to Android.

dynamicSpot is available for free on the Play Store, and all things considered, it does appear to work quite well. It utilizes the same style of popout widget that Apple uses (although it is certainly not as integrated in to the system). However, while Apple can certainly say they were the 1st and best integrated, they certainly cannot say they are the most customizable. dynamicSpot allows you to customize how the "Spot" works (for $4.99 that is). While the free version is nice, the ability to change the tap to popout the widget (instead of needing a long-press like Apple) is certainly going to be worth the money.
