Google is offering $0.99 movie rentals on Thanksgiving, plus a ton of other deals for "Cyber Week"

Thanksgiving, for all its many historical backings, is really just a day to engorge on food, watch football, and slip slowly in to a comatose state. Mixed in to that fun, you may even find yourself watching floats fly down the streets of New York City and humans judge dogs based purely on criteria that no one understands. At the end of the day, maybe you sit down and watch a movie or two with the family. This year, Google is there to "help".

On Thanksgiving Day only, Google will be offering $0.99 movie rentals on the Play Store. Sure, you could watch Netflix, but as we all know, you will spend more time looking for a movie than actually watching it since you have seen them all. Why not see something new for once? It will only cost less than the price of a collect-call for you to see that one movie you have been wanting to see forever.

In addition to $0.99 movie rentals on Thanksgiving, Google is also offering deals on movies, books, TV shows, and apps all week for its "Cyber Week"; the deals include favorites such as Game of Thrones and Mamma Mia!.
