New Apple hardware (and software?) is on the way.

Apple sent out invites today for an event on Tuesday, October 30 in New York; this alone is unusual considering most events have taken place in the Steve Jobs Theatre. With the tag line, "There's more in the making", this event could unveil the anticipated hardware updates noticeably missing from the iPhone Xs event in September.

A near certainty to be announced is a refreshed iPad Pro including slimmer bezels and the inclusion of FaceID. As the MacBook has moved to USB-C, it is possible the iPad could transition away from Lightning, but as the iPhone Xs has stayed with the proprietary connector, it is likely the other iOS device will as well.

Also expected to see some fresh paint is the MacBook Air as the line hasn't seen an update in a few years. It should feature slimmer bezels, an updated display, and a price slightly lower than the MacBook. Additionally, the Mac Mini is due for an upgrade, but design-wise, it could stay very similar to the current model. Newer Intel processors and other upgraded internals are more likely for that line.

It is possible they could announce some further information about the iOS and WatchOS updates as well as maybe a surprise or two (AirPower finally!?). Unfortunately, we will not be in New York for the event, but we will certainly be watching stream. We will also be live tweeting the event, and will certainly have a round-up of everything announced.
