The iPhone Xr, like the iPhone 5c, will feature multiple color option

Pre-orders for what looks to be the hottest selling phone of the season are now available. The iPhone Xr, announced along with the iPhone Xs, is now available for pre-order through most major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint); the phone will begin shipping on October 26th.

The spiritual successor to the iPhone 5c with a likeness to the iPhone X, the iPhone Xr is available in six colors (Red, White, Coral, Blue, Black, and Yellow) and features the distinctive notch housing the plethora of sensors that makes FaceID possible. The iPhone XR features nearly the same components as the iPhone Xs including FaceID, the A12 Bionic chip, and Qi wireless charging while forgoing the dual rear camera, 3D touch, and steel frame. Additionally, the iPhone Xr features a "liquid retina" LCD display as opposed to the "super retina" OLED display, but due to some thicker all-around bezels, it still gives the impression of an edge-to-edge display.

Pricing will be the key seller for the iPhone Xr as the base 64GB edition begins at $749.00 undercutting the pricing of all major flagships including the Pixel 3, Galaxy S9, and G7 ThinQ. The 128GB will run $50 more at $799, and the 256GB version will run $899. For those on the iPhone Upgrade Plan, pricing will run $37.41, $39.50, or $43.66 per month respectfully. It is worth noting that iPhone Xr does qualify for AT&T's 30-month-plan and T-Mobile's new 36-month-plan for a lower per-month cost.
