One day after it was announced they were losing exclusivity to PUBG, Microsoft has come up with a new way to reward its current customers and court new customers. Starting today, and running up through Sunday the 18th, Xbox Gold members are getting early Black Friday deals on games up to 75% off retail; there are even deals on newly released titles. They will then start offering the deals to everyone on the 19th through November 26th.

According to their blog post today, Xbox Gold members are getting an "exclusive 4-day head-start" on Black Friday which will run up to and including Sunday when retailers like Walmart and Best Buy are starting their deals; coincidentally, that is also when Sony is beginning their own Black Friday deals. As the deals are only available to Gold subscribers, Microsoft is offering an extra kicker of your first month of Gold being just $1 which would then allow you access to the early deals right away.

The selection of over 500 games should appeal to everyone as the games range from AAA games down to kid-friendly games such as Crash Bandicoot (35% off). Newer titles such as Assassin's Creed Odyssey (30% off) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (10% off) are both discounted as well as older favorites such as Batman: Return to Arkham (75% off) and Middle-earth: Shadow of War (60& off). Additionally, Microsoft is running deals on Xbox 360 games up to 75% off.

If you were looking at some new games this holiday season, now is the time to buy. While retailers are discounting new games as well, Microsoft is striking first with lower prices on top titles; with both hardware and software discounts this season, Microsoft is clearly going after a larger chunk of the pie.
