Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is still on the way, but it looks like you will have to wait until next year.
Niantic, the company behind Ingress and the beloved PokeMon Go, first announced a Harry Potter based AR game in 2017 with the intention of a 2018 launch. The game, like PokeMon Go, would allow the player to explore the real world while interacting with creatures and spells from the Wizarding World. Along the way, players could meet with well-known characters, creatures, and artifacts with the intention of immersing in to the Wizarding World (unlike the universally-panned Hogwarts Mystery).
While the game is still coming, it looks like you will have to wait a little longer for that feeling of being magical. In the meantime, Niantic and Warner Brothers have released a first look at the game that provides little in detail other than showing a Golden Snitch in hopes of making your Seeker dreams come true.
