The OnePlus 6 successor, the 6T, is here, and it matches up perfectly with what was expected.
At their launch event today (moved up because of Apple), OnePlus announced their flagship 6T featuring the specs that a 2018 flagship should have as well as drawing attention to their design aesthetic that could be seen as a dig at Google.
The 6T features a 6.41 OLED with a 2340x1080 resolution with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9; the display comes in at 402 PPI. Highlighted by OnePlus, the 6T features a minimal waterdrop notch and a smaller chin compared to other Android flagships specifically the Pixel. Built in to the display is a fingerprint sensor dubbed "Screen Unlock" which OnePlus is touting as much quicker than other manufacturers' configurations.
The device features two rear cameras, a 16MP and 20MP, with optical and digital image stabilization; OnePlus also announced a new "Nightscape" feature designed to improve low-light photography along the lines of Google's "Night Sight". This should help improve the camera experience for other OnePlus owners as it will come to the OnePlus 6 as well which lacked in the low-light experience.
In tradition of modern Android flagships, the 6T features a Snapdragon 845 as well as 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage; it will also be available with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. A 3700 mAh battery will power the device which will ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box while still running OnePlus's OxygenOS on top. Worth noting, OnePlus has dropped the 3.5mm jack for the 6T which was present on the 6.

A first for OnePlus, the phone will be available through T-Mobile making it the first OnePlus phone to have carrier distribution and a brick-and-mortar presence. It also lists Verizon as a supported carrier for the first time. The pricing will start at $549 maintaining the OnePlus image of flagship features at mid-level pricing.
