PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds

It appears that PUBG will indeed be coming to the PlayStation...in early December.

There has been massive speculation regarding PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds, and its future with Sony. While rumor has been rampant about the impending arrival, many believed that it was simply rumor with little concrete plan. Microsoft has enjoyed exclusivity on the Battle Royale game since launch over a year ago, and they have just added the game to Xbox Game Pass (along with making it free temporarily). However, with Fortnite's cross-compatibility and free price, PUBG has struggled to get traction; some technical issues have also plagued the game's reputation.

Now, it appears PUBG is ready to expand, and it is doing it just in time for the holidays. PUBG will appear on the PlayStation 4 starting on December 7th with pre-orders starting now. The base edition will run for $30 as on the Xbox with a "survivor's" edition ($50) and a "champion's" edition ($60) also available: the additional editions will include extra G-coin and in-game rewards. At launch, PUBG for PlayStation will feature the three Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok maps with a rumored snow-map on the horizon; it will include all features currently present on Xbox and Windows.

If you are a PUBG fan and a PlayStation owner, it looks like it will be a good holiday. With PlayStation's cross-play history, it will certainly be an interesting launch, but one thing is certain: there are no losers in this deal.
