Last Friday, Rudy Giulani, former Presidential candidate and President Trump's "cyber adviser, sent out a seemingly harmless tweet; by that, as harmless as he really can be. Unfortunately, for Giulani, whatever device he was using was not qualified enough to handle the plethora of grammatical errors contained, but it did do its best to grasp the message. By that, where he missed a space, Twitter created a hyperlink to a website registered using India's domain extension.

Rudy Giulani original tweet

When someone realized that the newly created hyperlink linked to a yet-to-be registered domain, they decided to buy the domain and troll Giulani by placing the message, "Donald J. Trump is a traitor to our country." So, thanks to some quick thinking (and spending), someone created a scenario in which one of Trump's most loyal followers was guiding people to a site that was most definitely anti-Trump.

Of course, Giulani could have easily deleted the tweet or even send another clarifying the issue,,,but that would have made too much sense. Instead, his follow-up tweet aggressively attacking Twitter with a tirade that (incorrectly) declared the hyperlink fiasco a leftist maneuver by an anti-Trump company. Even more comical, he used the fact that a previous tweet containing "Helsinki.either" did not create a hyperlink because, you know, that's a fact.

Giulani follow-up tweet

What we really learned from this is that Giulani, a cyber-security "expert", has no idea how Twitter works in terms of hyperlink creation and does not realize that ".either" is not a valid domain extension. Additionally, we have also learned that Giulani, like many others, believes that anything that does not work as expected and does not provide a positive outcome is all part of the mass-leftist conspiracy. However, thanks to some entertaining Twitter users, we are sure people will let him know that is not the case.
