For the first time since 2014, Apple is updating the Mac Mini, and a refreshing update it is.

The new Mac Mini, which bears a striking resemblance to the Apple TV, has the potential to be a powerhouse machine in a very small package. The Mac Mini features either a 4-core or 6-core CPU that can be bundled with up to 64GB of RAM. In its small frame, it can also house up to a 2TB SSD.

The back of the Mini features 4 USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2 USB-A ports, and an HDMI port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. All of these features are contained in a 100% recycled aluminum Space Grey box; minus the Space Grey color, this is the same type of housing used by the new Macbook Air.

The base model of the Mini will be priced at $799 which features 8GB of RAM, a quad-core i3, and a 128GB SDD; like the iPad Pro and Macbook Air, it will be available starting on November 7th.
