Twitter will soon make it easier to see a chronological feed

It seems like it has been years since we have seen a truly chronological feed as the default on a social site; it actually seems like it has been intentionally made difficult to even get to manually get there. As proprietors try to use algorithms to guess what is most important, the idea of timeline-based flow has been lost. While Facebook has given us an option and Twitter has made it as difficult as possible, no one has really tried to offer a feed where we can scroll from most recent to least recent. Now, it seems like Twitter is going to make it a little easier for time to move in one direction.
Even though Twitter is often the host of up-to-date stories and breaking news, we often find ourselves reading tweets from the morning when we are laying down for bed. On the other hand, since most people like to follow 10,000+ accounts, an only-chronological option may not be the best option. So now, Twitter is testing the option to let you easily choose for yourself.
For those invited to the beta test, which is iOS only, you will begin to see a tiny little star icon at the top of your feed. Clicking the star will give you a pop-up allowing you to choose between time-based feed and top-tweets feed; it is almost like we discovered that different people like different things. Twitter, while acknowledging that the toggle was difficult to find in the settings menu, states that select iOS users should begin to see the easy-to-use button shortly.
